A Trip Down Memory Lane

I did something very un-Eddy today.

Normally, if i wanted to watch a movie, ill just go and buy a DVD at the normal pirate place. That's been my routine for the past 2 years. As I was flicking through all the DVD's there it kind of hit me.

Realization :

#1 everything there, was either porn or some crappy movie showing in the cinemas (im looking at you Narnia and Rapunzel ! -_-

#2 im disgusted that they only kept the ones with good actors, they have a lack of really good makes-you-think kind of movies.

#3 your paying RM8 to sponsor these pirates to continue pirating which means they keep giving you crap. im sure these people dont really go to these imdb or rottentomatoes websites (they dont have to, apparently, money flows into their coffers like how water flows out of a tap) to siphon out the good from the utter rubbish that people call movies

So it hit me, lets go the other way

Theres this old Video Store nearby called Video Ezy . Previously i thought they were just cack, selling movies at rm49.99 pfft, id rather use the money to have lunch at Delicious or Sarpinos. With that in mind, i went in anyway to browse through their selection.

To my amazement, they actually had all these good old movies, Alfie, Dead Poets Society, Anchorman, Crash and a whole lot of other great movies. All these movies could be rented for just RM 3 and you can rent it for 3 days. More than enough time to watch multiple viewings

I honestly didnt think too much about it. I immediately when to the cashier and signed up. So far i have no regrets and it has best decision i made so far this year. Now everyone can watch movies for RM 3 and we're finally giving due to these movie makers to continually produce great movies
